This is a glass butter dish that I have handpainted. I did only paint the top of the butter dish, so the bottom where you would put the butter is not painted and can be washed in the dishwasher but only the bottom. It is sprayed with a sealent so it can be wiped down with a damp cloth.(top not dishwasher safe!!)
