The actual trivet portion measures 7 inches in length by 8 1/2 inches at it's widest point ( it is 8 1/2 inches in length including the brown stem top). Trivet - Pumpkin Shaped - Cheese Board or Kitchen Decor
This pumpkin shaped trivet is made from a beautiful piece of Lyptus wood with wonderful reddish orange tones....... Perfect for a pumpkin! The pumpkin will stand on its own, so it can be used as kitchen decor when not being used to protect those countertops and tables from hot pans and dishes. Lyptus wood is said to be sustainable or eco-friendly because it grows to maturity in 15 years, which is much faster than most hardwoods. It measures about 7 7/8 inches by 9 3/8 inches and 5/8 inch thick. The finish is a hand rubbed mineral oil and beeswax combination, which is food safe - so if you want to use it as a cheese board, it's okay! It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth but NOT soaked in water or put in the dishwasher.

Locker Hooking Trivet - Big Pumpkin
Locker Hooking is a method by which loops of fabric are pulled through a gridded rug canvas backing, then locked into place with a non-stretchy yarn passing through the loops. This creates a thick mat. It is excellent as a trivet in protecting all of your surfaces. Locker hooked items are machine washable but shoud be air dried. I leave them on the dryer as other loads are dried to help the air drying process along. My "Big Pumpkin" trivet was made with cotton quilting fabric and cotton yarn as the locking material. It would be like a big welcome to the Fall and Thanksgiving seasons, a great addition to any Holiday table. Although I call it a trivet, it would make a wonderful wall hanging. The trivet measures 8" by 8".

The hot pad has two layers of Insul-Bright insulated batting and one layer of white cotton fleece batting in center of this hot pad / pot holder to make sure your counter or table will be protected from any heat and if you use it as a potholder you don't burn your hand on hot pans from the stove or oven. Each hot pad has a loop for hanging and will really dress up your Kitchen.
