Majolica ceramic bowl - hand painted pottery
Ceramic, hand painted, majolica bowl with an assortment of hand painted flowers and fruit outside. Lovely gift for any time of the year. Wrap it as a gift alone or add favorites like miniature soaps, candy, fruits, or nuts. You know what they like, make it what you want. This bowl was thrown on the potters wheel by me, the glaze made by me, the design and image by me too! Majolica is a decorative surface technique meaning "white tin glaze over red earthen ware". Each piece of pottery is made in my front porch studio. Though small I make it work, but I make in stages. I fill a bisque kiln with green ware, raw dried clay. Once the greenware has gone through a bisque fire and removed from kiln the studio is cleaned up as I prepare to hand dip each piece. I can only dip as many as I have room for, so I may dip a part of the bisque ware at the time and as pieces are finished with painting and put in kiln in wait for the glaze fire, I will then glaze more. When the kiln is full I glaze fire this takes approximately 10 hours plus time to cool, because I like to warm up everything for about 6 hours before raising the temps.

A Pumpkin Serving Bowl
A lovely pumpkin glaze on the bowl, and a deep green glaze on the leaves. I painted brown stems between the leaves. The bowl is 2 inches deep, and 9 inches across opening. You could use this bowl for any of your Fall decorations. A fruit bowl, or a candy dish, or filled with baked potato's, or bread rolls, or maybe pine cones and acorns. One of a kind.

Made from an upcycled solid wood, this bowl measures 12 inches in diameter and is 3.5 inches high. The Tree Bowl
Inspired by the majestic trees in the mountains near my home this bowl is an original and unique piece. It was hand-built and hand-decorated then high-fired at cone 10 that gave it special sturdiness.

Bon Appetite, as Julia Child would say. Enjoy serving salads to your guests in this unique hand painted wooden bowl set. The outside of this large bowl is painted red dry brushed with contrasting purple streaks, its rim is eggplant and the inside is cream. The spoon and fork coordinate with the design perfectly. At the center of the bowl you will see an eggplant, a tantalizing tomato ,a garlic bulb and two black olives. I finished all the pieces with several coats of sealer to maintain the shining finish. It is recommended to hand wash and to not keep submerged in water. It is also suggested that sharp implements not be used on the painted surface. The bowl measures approximately 8 inches high and about 12 inches wide The spoon and fork are each about 10 inches long.

Beautiful handcrafted Thanksgiving Turkey Shaped Covered Serving Bowls, matching salt and pepper shakers and 4 napkin rings. Each of these items are poured, fired and glazed at time of order. The interior of the Serving Bowls are glazed with food safe clear glaze, the exterior of the bowls are glazed with a multicolor crystal glaze. The Salt and Pepper shakers have been clear glazed on the interior and the same multicolor crystal glaze has been used on the outside to match the serving bowls, also included are a set of 4 napkin rings each glazed with the multicolor crystal glaze. The large Serving Bowl measure aprox. 7" L x 9 1\/2" h x 10" W and the smaller bowl measures aprox. 5" L x 7" H x 5 1\/2" W, the salt and pepper shakers measure 3 1\/2" x 3 1\/2", and the Turkey napkin rings measure 3" x 1 1\/2".

A gorgeous rust with a swirl of gold combine for a perfect look of autumn. This bowl was thrown on the wheel, is made of high fire clay and was reduction fired to cone 10 (2381 degrees). The glazes are food, microwave and dishwasher safe. It is 6 1/8" wide x 1" tall, a size for dips, oils, as a saucer or under plants.
