Pumpkin Trivet
This cute vintage-inspired pumpkin trivet or hot pad is newly made from bottle caps that were thoroughly cleaned before use and crocheted over with orange # 10 crochet thread. The actual trivet portion measures 7 inches in length by 8 1/2 inches at it's widest point ( it is 8 1/2 inches in length including the brown stem top). It is great for Thanksgiving or any dinner in the fall season!

I used 100% cotton fabric to make this hot pad or potholders. I used a fall cotton print all pumpkins very nice. The hot pad has two layers of Insul-Bright insulated batting and one layer of white cotton fleece batting in center of this hot pad / pot holder to make sure your counter or table will be protected from any heat and if you use it as a potholder you don't burn your hand on hot pans from the stove or oven. Each hot pad has a loop for hanging and will really dress up your Kitchen.

Lyptus wood is said to be sustainable or eco-friendly because it grows to maturity in 15 years, which is much faster than most hardwoods. It measures about 7 7/8 inches by 9 3/8 inches and 5/8 inch thick. The finish is a hand rubbed mineral oil and beeswax combination, which is food safe - so if you want to use it as a cheese board, it's okay! It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth but NOT soaked in water or put in the dishwasher.
