Pumpkin Spice - Citrine, garnet, and tourmaline wire-wrapped silver pumpkin
Just in time for fall! This pumpkin has been hand shaped and forged from sterling silver and then wrapped in a plethora of stones, mimicking the bright orange of a ripe pumpkin. At the stem ore ggreen quartz and tourmaline, which lead into dark citrines, bright orange spessartite garnet in multiple hues. I had contemplated carving this little guy, but thought he might be a little more universal without a face :-). The pendant measures 1-3/4" wide by 1.5" long and hangs from a sterling chain also decorated with these stones. The chain measures 16" long adjustable from 16 to 19". As always, I am happy to adjust the length to suit your needs.

Autumn Theme necklace, Chinese Pottery Shard with Pumpkin Design
This unique necklace has a pendant made from a piece of Chinese pottery that has been wrapped with a silver bezel. It pictures a pumpkin with bright green leaves and a few curlicues of blue and pink. You'll never see another one like it! I've paired this with some pumpkin-like red jasper 10mm rounds, and highlighted it with turquoise and bone heishi, then added some tiny black glass spacers. It's about 17 inches long with a silver lobster claw clasp and a 2-inch extender chain.

I created this sweet little necklace as my entry for an October Fest themed blog hop. One of my favorite things in the fall is watching the leaves turn. Living on top of a hill in the River Valley, with The Ozarks to the North and the Ouachitahs to the south makes for some pretty gorgeous views out my window as the leaves change and the colors move along the ridges and hill tops. It was still early in the season yet and we were only just starting to pick up some yellows so my thoughts for design inspiration turned to the harvest and cornucopias.

The pumpkins are hand crafted using polymer clay. I cut the shapes and then add detail to the pumpkins by hand and add all the decorations by hand as well. When I am finished playing with the design, the pendant is cured and then glazed with a brush by hand. The pendant is suspended on the necklace with a handcrafted gold colored loop, surrounded by elegant black jade beads and then the rest of the necklace is carefully beaded according to my original design that reflects the color scheme of the pendant.
