Thanksgiving Acorns Bowl Fillers



Fall Acorns, Primitive, Rustic, Acorns, Fall, Autumn
I have made these acorns from brown cotton and stuffed them with fiberfill. I then cut the caps out of osnaburg and primitively stitched them on top of the acorns. I glued sticks in the tops, grundged them with coffee and vanilla and sun dried them. They measure approximately 4 inches tall not counting the sticks. I made these from a Paxton Valley Folk Art Pattern.

The 3 pumpkins are my own design that I sewed and stuffed, then hand stitched into sweet pumpkins. I put them through my special staining and sanding process for old time worn appeal. These acorns vary in size, as real ones do. They're needle-felted of pure wool and set in natural acorn caps. Not recommended for children younger than age 3, as loose fibers can be a choking hazard. This set is Happy Raspberry, but I can make these in pretty much any color you'd like. The acorns with caps measure approx 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" long from the top of the acorn cap to the end of the acorn nut and are approx.1" to 2" in diameter. I have put a ruler and a quarter in two photos to give you an idea of the size of the acorns. Some of the acorns have stems and others do not. Some of the caps are split some and that is all in the beauty of nature and some are not. Some have more fringe on the caps than others. Some of the acorns are now coming loose from the hats and you may receive some that are loose.
