The leaf is unbelievably gorgeous. It is 1 inch x 2 inches. The color from the Raku firing gives a shimmer and sparkle to this leaf. Rustic look beads have been hand wired to the leaf. I've created an acorn out of agate to complete this rustic still life.
Woodland theme acorn and flower necklace
This charming woodland theme necklace has a very cute looking big acorn that is made by me with wool using needle felting technique. The acorn cap is real acorn coated with a protective layer of lacquer. The flower and leaf are plastic beads. The size of the big acorn is around 2 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in height.The length of this necklace is 60 cm at maximum, a lobster clasp is attached at the end. The clasp can go through the rings on the chain, you can adjust the necklace length as you desire.

I prepare all of my acorn necklaces, unlike many others, by hollowing out and air-drying the acorn shells before filling them with polymer resin and then coating them in a few layers of the same resin to protect from scratches and add a pretty shine to the shells and caps.

Acorns have been considered to be symbols of good luck, prosperity, youthfulness and power for centuries. They were once carried as a talisman to fend off danger. In some cultures acorns are symbols of spiritual growth. Peter Pan and Wendy exchanged thimbles and acorns as kisses. I have hand painted this 1.25" metal acorn in shades of dark brown, gold, cream, pale yellow, pale green and light brown and finished it with a glossy finish. It hangs from a pretty Victorian style station on a 28" antique brass chain that closes with a lobster clasp.

A cute fluffy tailed squirrel in copper alloy perches on a tree limb while a stone acorn with real acorn cap dangles below. This is a great item for autumn accessorizing! I used a faceted desert jasper bead and a self-collected and preserved acorn cap, along with a copper alloy leaf charm for the dangle. The two pieces of chain attached to the sassy squirrel pendant add about 10 inches per side, giving a total length of approximately 20 inches. A lobster clasp completes the necklace. The squirrel measures about 2.25 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall.

This Acorn Necklace has a real acorn cap. The copper coated bead measures 1 1/4" and has a very nice copper coating outside and a copper coating runs inside the thread hole also. The inside of the copper coated bead is an extremely hard and durable hard resin The cap is a real acorn top with an acrylic coating I added for durability. I have added a heart bead sparkle stone. This Sparkle stone heart has tiny specks of gold color sparkle pieces in it. I think it is also called moon stone by some. The 2" leaf is a woodland Primitive Rustic metal antique copper color.
