I began with a watercolor wash in blue gray tinged with a lighter blue, then mono-printed and painted the oak leaves over it. Because I took these photos at dusk, the blue seems bluer and less gray in them. The colors are detailed and soft. Dressed up or down, a unique silk scarf makes any outfit a work of art, and the luxurious texture of 16.5mm stonewashed crepe de Chine pampers skin like nothing else. This multi colored chocolate brown and gold silk satin botanical scarf is hand dyed, size 11 x 60 inches. It is a romantic and meaningful gift for yourself or someone else. The silk satin weave makes this scarf luxuriouly soft and a delight to wear. I started with a white ready made silk scarf and I dyed it with about 20 different colors. I achieve the leaf design by using real leaves that I gather from our backyard (we live in the woods) and from areas all over Western Washington. I press each leaf and then use a special process to get the effect you see. On this scarf I used lady fern, vine maple, Oregon grape, rosemary and huckleberry, just to name a few. This is one of my favorite designs. I also do a similar design on tank tops and ties. Convo me if you are interested in more options. Color fast, steam set, hand washable, hang to dry. For a crisp look iron on the backside steam setting. This design may vary slightly from the picture. Also available in 5" X 72" size
